Blues Traveler Review

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Jamie McLean joined Blues Traveler at a sold out Paradise Rock Club in Boston last week. The band opened up the night with a full set of new and old material including “Can You Hear Me Now”, “Garden of Thieves”, “Completely” “Holy Water” and “Cupid’s Greatest Thief”. It seems the boys in Blues Traveler became quick fans of JMB. John Popper and Blues Traveler invited Jamie to join them on stage for a raging version of their classic tune “Mullin’ It Over” featuring a blazing guitar solo from Jamie as well as some firework trading of notes between Jamie and John Popper. Fans and critics alike enjoyed the sets. Enjoy the pictures below as well as a review of the concert from Enterprise News.

Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Widespread Panic

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

October is shaping up to be a very busy month for Jamie McLean! Jamie and the band will be sharing the stage with Blues Traveler, Galactic, Chris Barron (lead singer of Spin Doctors) and George Mcconnell (Widespread Panic guitarist). Tour dates will wind from Boston and New York south to Charleston and Atlanta! Look for plenty of new music from the band as well as special sets including a Halloween set that is not to be missed!

We are also excited to have also begun filming a documentary of Jamie and the band’s life on the road, in the studio and behind the scenes. Look for the film crew at a show near you to give your reactions to the show or just ham it up in front of the stage. If that wasn’t enough, we will begin giving our fans a sneak peak of the forthcoming album in the coming weeks. Check back with us to get your access to free unreleased tracks!

New York City Shows (Full Band)

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Thanks to everyone who came out to my solo show at Rockwood Music Hall.  It is always fun to strip the songs down to the way they were originally written.  Me and an acoustic guitar.  Oh…and a big shout out goes to my Mom for making the trip into the “big city”!

So…….I’ve been in the studio for the last 2 weeks mixing the new record with producer Stewart Lerman.  I know…….I’m bias….but…. lemme tell ya…….it sounds amazing!  Really amazing!  I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.  In the meantime you can hear the new songs live and with a bit of rock and roll swagger the next few nights in New York City.  Me and the full band are taking over the National Underground on Saturday April 4 and Friday April 10 to blow off a little studio steam and rock out the new music. We start at 11pm and go until late night.  And….it is FREE.  National Underground is always a ton of fun and it’s bound to get scandalous.   Its on Houston Street (corner of Allen).

See ya there, Jamie

Solo Acoustic Set In New York City

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

The tour through the Southeast was a blast. Now that I’m back in NYC I’m finishing up the new album and playing a couple local shows. This Wednesday March 25 I’ll be doing a solo acoustic set at Rockwood Music Hall. It is a really intimate room and it is a rare thing for me to be up there all by my lonesome. Just me and my acoustic.  It should be a lot of fun. I’ll be dusting off a bunch of old tunes that never made it into the band sets and I”ll unveil some of the new tunes from the next album. Set starts at 9pm. Hope to see ya there. Jamie
