American Songwriter Magazine is premiering a sneak peak of our new album “Live at Gibson”.

JMB drummer Brian Griffin wrote a beautiful tune called “Natalie” which originally appeared on the “Completely” album. This new live version from “Live At Gibson” is now available for download.

Here’s a little bit from Brian about his song…….

“Natalie is inspired by the girl-next-door imagery of actress Natalie Portman mixed with a classic werewolf horror story. The song is my story of a rock and roll romance with a Jekyll-and-Hyde-type character.”

We are thrilled to announce Jamie McLean Band’s first ever live album will release on May 22nd via eOne Records. “Live At Gibson” was recorded in New York City at the famed Gibson Showroom in early January.

Our good friend and American Idol winner Taylor Hicks is featured on vocals and harmonica and Robert Randolph and Family Band’s keyboardist Jason Crosby joins us on piano, organ and fiddle. The entire concert was filmed by a 7 camera HD film crew and will be released as a DVD.

We will celebrate with a CD release party in New York City on Friday June 8th! Come out and party with us at Rockwood Music Hall and get your autographed copy of the album!

We will join our good friend and American Idol winner Taylor Hicks for a big night of blues, soul and rock n’ roll at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgfield CT this Friday April 27th.

Jamie McLean Band will play a full set of original music before joining Hicks as his backing band for his entire set. The last time we joined forces we sold out the Avalon Theatre. Grab your tickets in advance!

Jamie McLean Band is headed south this month to rock Atlanta, Mobile and Birmingham. It’s been a minute since we’ve played in some of these cities and we can’t wait to bring the heat to the dirty south. We will be joining our good friend Tromobone Shorty in Mobile and in Atlanta and Birmingham we will share the stage with UK blues guitar phenom Matt Schofield.

From there the spring tour will hit Bethesda MD, Easton MD, Virginia Beach and a very special show in Ridgefield CT with our good friend and American Idol winner Taylor Hicks.

It was an honor to meet and share the stage with legendary blues guitarist Johnny Winter! We had a chance to talk about his work with Muddy Waters and watching him play the classic “Dust My Broom” was a highlight! Thanks to everyone that came and packed out the beautiful Bearsville Theatre in Woodstock NY.

Jamie McLean Band will hit the road in early February with Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk! The tour will make stops in Washington DC, Richmond, Roanoke and Virginia Beach. The fall tour was amazing! We hit the road with North Mississippi Allstars, released our new Blues EP “Sunday Morning” with John Popper, Taylor Hicks, DJ Logic and more at Brooklyn Bowl, recorded with some of Roanoke Virginia’s most talented young kids and rocked the Bear Creek Festival in Florida along with Soulive, George Porter Jr, Anders Osborne, Corey Glover, James Brown’s sax man Pee Wee Ellis and many more!
